RSQUARE (CEO Yongkyun Lee) will participate in the '2024 Real Estate Big Data Platform and Center Development Project' by the Korea Real Estate Board.
According to RSQUARE, the leading commercial real estate comprehensive service company in South Korea, their participation in the big data platform project will involve providing the government with specialized data on commercial real estate. Through this, they plan to create a valuable data platform based on demand analysis.
Yongkyun Lee, CEO of RSQUARE (first from the left), introduced RSQUARE Analytics (RA) to Joo-hyun Kim,
Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, Hye-ryun Baek, former Chairman of the
National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee, and Seok-hoon Kang, President of the Korea Development Bank,
at the NextRise 2023 event last June.
The Korea Real Estate Board's big data platform project was launched in March 2023 with the goal of establishing a data foundation for the sustainable growth of the real estate industry in South Korea. It is overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency. So far, it has opened up 177 types of real estate data, including housing prices and rent, and has provided four types of innovative services.
RSQUARE plans to provide the National Information Society Agency with data on the supply, rent, and vacancy rates of commercial real estate (offices, logistics, and retail spaces), as well as transaction data. This contribution is expected to aid in the expansion of the Korea Real Estate Board's big data platform project.
The beta version of RSQUARE Analytics (RA), a commercial real estate analysis solution, was unveiled by RSquare at NextRise 2023.
Kangmin Ryu, Head of the Research Center, stated, "We must reduce social costs with clear real estate big data," adding, "We will open valuable data based on demand and cooperate with existing platforms for mutual linkage." Ryu also expressed optimism, saying, "We expect to significantly improve the 'lemon market' with our unique, vivid, and up-to-date data."
RSQUARE currently manages up-to-date data on 300,000 domestic and international office and commercial buildings, obtained through extensive surveys. Based on this, they are preparing a data analytics solution that provides market information on sales, supply, and leasing in the domestic commercial real estate market.
