RSQUARE Opens Path for Industry-Academic Cooperation with Konkuk University’s Real Estate Academy via 30,000 Data Points

▶ RSQUARE signs agreement with Konkuk University Real Estate Academy to supply real estate register data

▶ Strengthening academic research capabilities with over 30,000 sets of actual transaction data

▶ Creating social value by expanding data-driven industry-academic cooperation models

RSQUARE (CEO: Lee Yong-gyun), a comprehensive commercial real estate service company, announced on the 25th that it has signed a real estate register data supply agreement with the Konkuk University Real Estate Academy (Dean: Shin Seung-woo). Through this agreement, RSQUARE will provide approximately 30,000 sets of registry data to Konkuk University to support academic research.

This data provision is facilitated through RSQUARE’s ‘Data Hub’ platform. Data Hub is a proptech-based platform that allows users to integrally search and manage various public records necessary for real estate transactions, such as real estate registers, building ledgers, and land ledgers, in one place. This agreement marks a significant step in extending RSQUARE’s accumulated technological prowess and data infrastructure into the field of academic research.

The Konkuk University Real Estate Academy plans to widely utilize the provided data for various research activities, including thesis writing, journal publications, and policy proposals. Dean Shin Seung-woo expressed high expectations, stating, "This will enable us to conduct more systematic and empirical research."

Previously, RSQUARE has been providing 'RA (RSQUARE Analytics),' Asia's first commercial real estate analysis tool, to the Konkuk University Real Estate Academy. RA is a data analysis platform that supports actual transaction data, including detailed rents, tenant information, vacancies, and historical market prices for approximately 7,000 commercial buildings in Korea. Equipped with advanced features such as GIS-based site analysis, market trend visualization, and automated reporting, it assists asset managers and global investors in making fast and accurate investment decisions. The platform is currently used by over 50 domestic and international institutional investors, securities firms, and financial institutions, as it allows users to verify previously hard-to-find information, such as tenant status by floor and long-term rent trends, with just a few clicks.

RSQUARE recognizes data not merely as information, but as an asset that creates public value. CEO Lee Yong-gyun remarked, "Data serves as the foundation of thought for researchers and a tool for understanding society. We will continue to create a virtuous cycle with the academic ecosystem through the resources we possess."

Following this agreement, RSQUARE intends to expand its data partnerships with major domestic universities and research institutions. The company plans to continuously scale this new data-driven industry-academic cooperation model, providing accumulated data to researchers to generate social value.
