SEOUL, South Korea – RSQUARE DESIGN, a specialist in architecture and comprehensive interior design, announced on the 27th that it has completed the major renovation and reconstruction of the J.Lindeberg Cheongdam Flagship Store.
The project was commissioned by Shinsegae International, designed by Cyan Architects, and constructed by RSQUARE DESIGN.
Located in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, J.Lindeberg’s flagship store, named 'Clubhouse Seoul,' sits on a site area of 423.60㎡ with a total floor area of 999.88㎡.
The project involved extensive "major repair" works (daesuseon), including the dismantling and reinforcement of pillars and beams and updating exterior finishes. Additionally, a vertical expansion was executed, increasing the building's height by 5.35m (from 19.35m to 24.7m).
RSQUARE DESIGN dimensionally brought the brand’s philosophy to life through a large-scale structural reorganization and space reconfiguration that surpassed the limitations of the existing building.
By reviewing structural reinforcement from the foundation up and implementing construction methods that ensure seismic performance and vertical expansion, the company secured both the scalability and stability of the space.
"Through this project, we have demonstrated our construction capabilities in complex remodeling. We intend to solidify our position as a specialized partner for remodeling in the premium retail and cultural facility sectors," stated RSQUARE DESIGN. "We will continue to grow as a company that provides total remodeling solutions, including various client remodeling projects and Pre-con consulting support."
Meanwhile, RSQUARE DESIGN has also secured the contract for the major renovation and remodeling of the Brunello Cucinelli Cheongdam Store—an additional linked project—and has been carrying out construction since last March.
