There’s a global beauty company that has grown an average of 250% annually since its founding and is now present in over 50 countries. That company is The Founders. Known for launching the first Korean skincare brand, Anua, which ranked No.1 on major platforms in Korea, the U.S., and Japan, they also offer the derma haircare brand From Labs and pet product line Project 21.
The Founders recently moved to their new home in Parnas Tower, Samseong-dong, with the help of Rsquare. How was the process of finding, moving into, and designing their new office? Let’s hear their experience.
R: Can you tell us about The Founders?
The Founders is a global commerce startup with the vision of becoming the "Global No.1 Brand Builder." We manage brands like Anua, Project 21 for pets, and From Labs for haircare, and we are loved in over 50 countries.
We have a team of 200 people, including top-tier talent from global consulting firms, consumer goods companies, IT firms, and large Korean corporations, all working together toward a common goal.
R: Why did you decide to move offices, and what key factors did you consider?
The most important thing we considered was creating an environment where our employees could focus on their work.
We’re growing rapidly in the global market, and every month, we welcome new talent. Our previous office became overcrowded, so we needed a more spacious and efficient space.
We wanted enough seats for everyone, a variety of meeting rooms from large conference rooms to 1-on-1 spaces, and lounge and canteen areas where employees could recharge.
We also wanted to visually express Anua’s identity, so that visitors could instantly understand our brand’s direction.
R : What made you choose to work with Rsquare?
We knew Rsquare as a real estate proptech company, but we were impressed to learn they were also growing quickly in the interior design field
After reviewing several candidates, Rsquare stood out as the most customer-friendly and responsive to our needs, which aligned with our own customer-centric approach. We felt they would be a great partner to collaborate with.
R : What is The Founders' vision and direction moving forward?
We are pleased that Rsquare helped us create a workspace that embodies our values of "customer focus," "strategic execution," "growth mindset," and "team player."
It’s exciting to see our goal of becoming the "Global No.1 Brand Builder" reflected in the design. We’ve worked hard to gather great colleagues, and now that we have a great environment, we expect to see even more synergy.
R : What were your priorities during the interior design process, and were they well implemented?
We have 1.5 floors and 780 py, which isn’t a small space. Still, we needed enough seating for future growth, 31 different meeting rooms to match our work style, and lounges and canteens for relaxation and recharging. It wasn’t an easy task, but Rsquare did an excellent job meeting all our needs.
We also pushed for a tight schedule to minimize inefficiencies from having teams working in temporary offices, and Rsquare completed the project on time, which we really appreciated.
R: How satisfied are your employees with the new office?
Beyond the fact that Parnas Tower is a landmark office building in Gangnam, the new space is perfectly optimized for how we work, which has greatly increased satisfaction.
We’ve already hosted recruitment fairs, influencer meetings, and brand supporter activities, and it’s wonderful to have a space we’re proud to show to visitors.
Employees also love the little details—the private work sofas with city views, the large screens for presentations, the charming office maps, and the convenient tumbler washers in the sinks.
R : How are you utilizing the space, and what benefits does it provide your employees?
The new office has led to a sense of "space as a benefit" among our staff. We divided the area into workspaces and rest spaces.
The workspaces are designed for comfort and attention to detail, with large desks, optimal lighting, plenty of storage, and 31 meeting rooms. Every detail, from colors to music, was chosen to create a pleasant and productive environment.
For rest areas, we focused on fostering communication and building closer relationships. The lounges and canteen have an Information Board for important announcements, free snacks and drinks, a premium coffee machine, and plenty of space for "rest and conversation." We also introduced a new benefit called "Morning Boost Bites," offering breakfast every morning, which has been very well received by our team.
