“No company succeeds through the excellence of a single department. We organically connect the expertise of every division to create the ultimate proposal. ”
In the second half of last year, a new Construction Planning Team was established at RSQUARE DESIGN. This change came with the recruitment of two industry-leading experts: Jang-won Lim, a 22-year veteran in the interior industry, and Hye-seong Ju, a senior professional with 14 years of experience at top-tier firms. Having worked together as lead and member in their previous company, the duo once transformed their previous firm’s market standing within just a year of collaboration.

RSQUARE DESIGN Construction Planning Team
Q. Please introduce yourselves and your journey to RSQUARE DESIGN.
Jang-won Lim: I joined in August 2025 and currently lead the Construction Planning Team. I spent about 10 years at an architectural firm where I truly learned the craft of "planning," and later continued my career at top interior firms. During the hiring process for RSQUARE DESIGN, I was impressed by the CEO’s rational and sharp management mindset. I felt that working with such a leader would allow me to contribute to scaling the organization rapidly.
Hye-seong Ju: I joined in September. I started my career at a top-tier firm for 10 years and later moved to another major company when they established a new construction planning team. That’s where I met Team Leader Lim and worked with him for four years. I joined RSQUARE DESIGN following his suggestion after he made the move first.
Q. What exactly does the Construction Planning Team do?
Hye-seong Ju: Simply put, we provide the answer to the client's question: "Why should we work with RSQUARE DESIGN?" and give them the confidence to choose us.
Our essence lies in logically crafting technical proposals backed by data, technology, and execution plans to explain why a project should be entrusted to us, what differentiated value we provide, and what practical benefits the client will gain. We then persuade them through professional presentations.
Q. Would it be accurate to say your team is the "main protagonist" of winning bids?
Jang-won Lim: Not at all. We are more like "multi-players" who orchestrate the bid. While our role is to create and deliver the reason to choose RSQUARE DESIGN through technical proposals and PTs, a successful bid is never the achievement of our team alone.
The Marketing Division must accurately identify the client’s needs; the Design and Estimation teams then create a design and budget that fit those needs. This leads to a realistic and effective construction plan with enhanced durability. We act as the ones who "structure" the collective achievements of all departments.
Collaboration is key; the persuasiveness of a proposal grows only when the entire company moves toward a single goal.
Q. Despite being a new team, you’ve already seen results.
Jang-won Lim: I believe that "visible results are the only true performance." Though it's early, we have the numbers to prove it. In the second half of 2025, we conducted four construction bid PTs and successfully won three of them.
In qualitative terms, we have significantly developed the quality of our proposals. Judging that the "era of verbal PTs is fading," we have strengthened our capabilities in motion elements and video content to maximize the impact of our proposals. My philosophy is that any proposal bearing our company logo must be the absolute best.

Q. How do the two of you divide roles during the "structuring" process?
Jang-won Lim: I identify potential on-site risks and build the structural backbone of the persuasion through content. I set up the logic in a sequence that is easy for the client to follow. Senior Ju is the one who makes that backbone "instantly understandable" for the client. Thanks to her help, we achieved great results in last year's construction bids.
Hye-seong Ju: Many decision-makers on the client side are not interior experts. My goal is to deliver information so intuitively that even a child could understand. Visualization, infographics, and clarity of composition are vital.
Recently, we’ve been raising the bar by using 3D rendering and our team's specialized skills to visualize the construction process and add video elements.
Q. The teamwork seems exceptional. What is the secret?
Hye-seong Ju: It’s the leadership of inclusion and consideration. In our previous company, other teams were always envious of us—not because of anything fancy, but because our team atmosphere was uniquely tight-knit.
This was possible because Team Leader Lim always lightens the mood with humor and places deep trust in the team.
Jang-won Lim: (Laughs) I’m flattered. It was only possible because I had team members who accepted my efforts with consideration and gratitude. When building a team, I strictly avoid creating a "comfortable-to-work-in" team if it means compromising on quality. We must never fall short in our work. Instead, I’ve always strived to create a team with such great teamwork that everyone envies us.
Our team is a small, lean organization consisting of one team leader, three seniors, and one associate. I have absolute trust in every member, and I am confident that our strong bond will lead us to exceptional results.
Q. You emphasize collaboration. Were there any "walls" as a new team?
Jang-won Lim: Since we are in the early stages, there is naturally a bit of unfamiliarity. That’s why we are focusing just as much on building internal synergy as we are on external results. I make an effort to visit other departments directly for "small talk" to bridge the gap.
Hye-seong Ju: I’ve seen firsthand that lowering barriers between departments and creating a flexible culture leads to long-term growth. Rather than focusing on "who did well or who made a mistake," it’s more important to continuously find connection points where we can link up toward the same goal.
Q. Do you have any personal goals?
Jang-won Lim: I want to become as fluent in English as a native speaker. I have the ambition to personally lead PTs in English for projects with foreign companies, expanding our company's client base and project scope.
Hye-seong Ju: I am personally studying AI. I want to contribute more to the team by gaining the skill to create high-utility images in a short time. Actually, I’ve been using ChatGPT a lot lately—I think I’ve been bothering it a bit too much! (Laughs).
Q. Any last words for your colleagues?
Lim & Ju: Winning a project is not the result of one department's hard work; it's possible only when we organically connect each other’s expertise.
We hope for an atmosphere where everyone greets each other with a smile in the hallway or lobby.
Our team will take the lead in reaching out first, so please don't feel burdened and just smile back! Let's go, everyone!
